Special Effects Page - Classes

There are numerous places that you can take classes to learn special effects. The best place to find the most current ones are in Cinefex magazine, available at your local Borders or Barnes and Nobles.

I highly recommend that you learn on your own though. These classes are EXPENSIVE and only touch the surface on some of the things you need to learn. Plus, there is nothing more exciting then learning something as unique as this completely on your own. I also liked the fact that I could really mess up bad on things initially and there was no one there to slap me around. By making these mistakes I learned how to do the effects even better because I was learning what happens when you do certain things wrong, etc. (some of which is actually good for some effects).
